South African National Parks (SANParks) has teamed up with the Dreamfields Project to merge the seemingly unlikely worlds of conservation and soccer for the benefit of young people in communities around the national parks.
The South African national team ranked 68th in the world and 12th in Africa, is affectionately known as Bafana Bafana to South Africans and will be representing the country at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Football for Hope 2010 will be held in the final week of the 2010 Soccer World Cup
and it promotes best practise in the game of football through Social Development.

The three-year partnership with Dreamfields, SANParks and People and Conservation (P&C) unit is called "Wild About Soccer" and is aimed at engaging young people at the level of their passion - football.

South Africa was admitted back into FIFA only 15 years ago and since then has been fighting hard to regain their footing and respect in the footballing world. They made their first international debut back into the global sporting arena against Cameroon on the 7th July 1992.
Football For Hope
Teams will be divided up into boys and girls between the ages of 15 - 18yrs old all of whom will be representing local development organisations working towards positive social change. All this will be done with an aim towards Health promotion, Peace building , Childrens Rights and Education and Anti- Discrimination.

ELLIS PARK - JOHANNESBURG
In Johannesburg Ellis Park est.1927 is one of our better known stadiums and as a result hosts a number of international sporting events not just limited to soccer but also including Rugby World Cup games that were hosted here in 1995, this is where South Africa beat the legendary New Zealand All Blacks 15 - 12 in World Cup final victory. Ellis Park is situated in Doornfontein and is home to Premier Soccer League's Moroka Swallows and national favourites Kaizer Chiefs. The stadium has also hosted international music acts such as the Rolling Stones. Another note worth mentioning is that although primarily a Rugby stadium Ellis Park has hosted international Football Clubs Manchester United and Arsenal and national soccer team Brazil. As it stands now the stadium will see a seating increase of 10 000.
